SAM CORBIN

ABOUT

Sam Corbin is a writer and humorist who currently writes the Wordplay column for The New York Times. Her work has also appeared in The New Yorker, Vulture, Reductress, and, occasionally, on the subway. Despite successfully concealing her “accent,” Sam remains Canadian. She is referred to as an “Alien of Extraordinary Ability” by U.S. Customs and Immigration, which means she is allegedly a national treasure and legally obligated to impress you.

Sam also co-hosts Vocabaret, a live comedy show about language and wordplay, on the second Friday of every month.

If you know Sam because of her minor celebrity in the field of competitive punning, please do not remind her of anything you have heard her say onstage.
